    Eight times reigning ASP world champion Kelly Slater (Cocoa Beach, Fl, USA)
    clinched the Boost Mobile Pro title and by doing broke the world record by winning the most number of contests in ASP history. Slater, who has posted poor results at Trestles
    in the past, beat Hawaiian Pancho Sullivan in the final to take victory and
    pocket US$30 000 in prize money.
